The Brief
BoardCoverz is an online company that offers snowboarding fans the possibility to customize the look and feel of their snowboard without having to empty their wallets to purchase a new board. Through some rather unique ready-made designs and an online Flash tool that lets you create your very own board skin, BoardCoverz is a company that's not afraid to dreams big.
The Solution
Before bringing me on board, BoardCoverz was working with a digital agency that, because of their sheer size, were moving slower than what the partners wanted. What they lacked from their experience with the agency was not a keen eye for design, but rather the willingness to adapt faster. After spending a couple of days with the partners discussing the needs of a new website, we decided that Magento would fit the bill quite nicely. Although we initially decided to keep the agency-made design, I took a crack at a new design, which, I'm happy to say, was adopted instantly.
